With a NW wind forecast I needed to find somewhere on the S coast which would work in this direction. First thoughts were for Hill Head but decided in the end on Northney. Actually went to Esso beach just round the corner.
Quite an excellent session with over 4 hours of steady F5 in flattish water (wind over tide which keeps you upwind and adds some chop for extra interest).
Loads of people out, presumably refugees from the seafront at Hayling. Quite a community feel, though the car park was really crowded.
4* definitely. If the sun had shone I'd have given it 5. Only two outings in Blighty this season but both have been excellent. Almost no blubbing, pumping or other unsatisfactory activities.
